An invited national Council of Nominators, comprised of individuals with expertise in the five categories, identifies qualified candidates. Nominations submitted by the Council of Nominators are reviewed by Heinz Family Foundation staff and then forwarded to a jury of noted experts who then makes recommendations to the program's Board of Directors for final approval.

Nominators are chosen on the basis of their expertise and experience in areas that are relevant to the Heinz Awards program. Individuals interested in being considered to serve as a nominator for the Heinz Awards program should send a letter of request and a current CV or resume to one of the following addresses. Your request will be forwarded to our Awards committee for consideration.
